As a global leader of plastic compounding manufacturer, we have obtained ISO14001 at early stage in order to fulfill our social responsibilities. Furthermore, we have established a quality control system to assure higher standard of our product safety, which is required by EU's new regulation of environmental protection - RoHS.

[ RoHS ]
EU Directive on restrictions on hazardous substances implemented on 1st July, 2006.
Directive bans the use of six substances in electrical and electronics equipment:
Pb (lead), Hg (mercury), Cd (cadmium), Cr+6 (hexavalent chromium), PBBs (polybrominated bisphenyls), PBDEs (polybrominated diphenylethers)
Earlier in time, environmental law regulation effected as emission control regulations against gases and solvents from factories and other manufacturing processes or as waste regulations from the recycling programs. This RoHS is the first stringent regulation against the use of hazardous substances contained in the products. The intention of RoHS establishment is to harmonize these various regulations which were originally formed by members of EU countries.
The regulations enforced in each EU member country were valid until June 2006 and unified to RoHS on 1st July, 2006.
To evade the potential environmental pollution from hazardous substances and facilitate more recycling programs, as seen in RoHS and WEEE in relation to electric/electronic equipment and parts, laws and regulations are internationally strengthened, which demands many manufacturers in producing even safer chemical products for ultimately pollution-free environment.
To ensure higher safety for Kotec products, we have built a highly integrated quality control system by introducing fluorescent X-ray analysis that would precisely detect the RoHS's restricted hazardous substances in each production lot.
